Minimum Qualifications
- Active Property and Casualty license in California, Colorado, or Nevada; One year experience selling Property and Casualty insurance (or similar products).
- Background free of felonies and misdemeanors involving dishonesty or a breach of trust (i.e., “crimes of moral turpitude”)
- Strong desire to run your own business.
- Current loss ratio below 65%.
How We Get Started
- Complete and submit the inquiry form below or call our office to schedule a ten-minute preliminary interview.
- We will schedule a subsequent interview if our manger believes that you have the potential to become a valuable business partner. This subsequent interview can occur in person or via a web conference depending on your circumstances.
- Upon “passing” the final interview you will complete, sign, and submit the necessary paperwork, including the contract. At this time we will schedule your orientation.
Our company philosophy and a message from our founder and CEO, Bo Peng
I founded Penguin Insurance Services to provide those tools and opportunities that seemed to be lacking when I began my career. Accordingly, my mission is to support new and experienced agents by facilitating direct access to multiple markets. Together, we achieve that mission under an affiliation agreement that enables the agent to enjoy ownership of the business that he or she writes. Moreover, I seek to help our agents leverage group production as a means of maximizing commissions and bonuses.
In short, my team and I will provide the support necessary for you to achieve true financial independence as a Penguin affiliate. You may think of me as your “battle buddy” in the trenches of the combat theater we call “the insurance market.”
Penguin’s philosophy of a dynamic teamwork based on common goals translates into shared commissions and performance-based bonuses. The compensation structure under the affiliation relationship is designed to foster an interdependence of financial interests. We seek to share the goals, rewards, and burdens of our affiliate agents. Insurance can be a lonely business unless you belong to a team. My corporate staff (your support team) and your fellow affiliates will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you through the joys of success and the frustrations of the inevitable setback. Our full complement of support services is extensive and will help you work more easily and efficiently.
As an agent/broker, you will not find yourself in competition against other affiliates. We have devised a system whereby you will benefit from the success of your fellow agents and the entire Penguin team. Each agent contributes to the success of the team and receives in return the stability, leverage, earnings, and prosperity that only a team effort can command.
We will earn and maintain your trust through openness, fairness, and the absence of a long-term contract. Penguin fully discloses all commission schedules and bonus arrangements. This transparency is only right and logical given that each agent may expect a share of earnings and bonuses proportionate to his or her contribution to the success of the team.
